The comma in between “text” and “it” isn’t needed and causes an awkward pause for the reader.
This conveys that she is thoughtful because she cares about him being sick.
...This is a strong explanation of the evidence because of the sentence’s word choice and the connection of the quote to the paragraph’s main argument. However, if the character’s name is known for “him” it should be used to provide the reader more context.
