They did this as a tradition in China because they didn’t think such ting would happen to them. However they ate it raw letting all the  bacteria into there body.they got this disease from the bacteria they suggested.

    This is how they got the plague still being under treated many people were scared thinking that the plague came back however it is still around but you could get the plague from mistreating you’re belly with bacteria and raw food.
