Many scientists disregarded the idea of there being a dust ring close to Mercury due to the planet's small size. These rings are also the spotting grounds of new asteroids that could possibly even be the ones maintaining the shape of the dust rings. Undiscovered asteroids also raise the question of if they're continuing to shed dust, or was there only one "break up" event? Scientists also use dust rings found in other solar systems as a flag to find possible undiscovered planets within them.

A team of engineers at University of California made a device that can detect specific genetic mutations in a matter of minutes. This device was made by using the CRISPER system because of how straightforward the actual system is. The CRISPER system takes a strip of DNA and removes it from the organism as if it were cutting a piece of paper from the larger sheet. However, this device does not remove the DNA but instead uses a deactivated Cas9 protein. This variant of Cas9 can find a specific location on DNA, but doesn't cut it, this is how the device "scans" the DNA to find and gene mutations. This device can help people easily find out if they have any gene related mutations or if they have anything abnormal in their DNA.

A newly announced art software has the ability to make simple doodles into realistic works of art by using an A.I dubbed, GauGAN. This A.I was created by the company called NVIDIA, and they specifically created this A.I to make artwork from the most simple of outlines. Even though the actual software is only in a demo phase, it still is an amazing tool. The software itself consists of only three tools: a paint bucket, pen, and a pencil. These tools are then followed by several labels such as water, rock, and grass. The A.I then uses the tools and the labels to make artwork with the desired color and texture of the scene you're drawing, however, the A.I is limited to only drawing scenes of nature and is currently unable to draw cars. How Early Apollo-era space pictures were taken
In the early age of the "Apollo missions", before Neil Armstrong could take his first step on the moon, NASA had to figure out where on the moon the Apollo 11 could land. To solve this problem, NASA created van-sized satellites and sent out in 1966 and 1967 to map the moon. There was a total of 5 of these nearly identical satellites and lunar orbiter 3 was the first to find a suitable landing site for the astronauts by taking photos of the moon on February 15 to 23 in 1967. These satellites were also unique for the equipment that they carried. Each satellite had two cameras, one with a high-resolution lens and one with medium resolution. These cameras also had to be able to process the photos and send them back to NASA, thus, the Kodak BIMAT transfer processing system was used. This system was used for recon-related missions, making it the ideal system to use. However even though these satellites were advanced in their time, they were still low-tec, so a single film burnout that the lunar orbiter 3 experienced was enough to threaten the success of the mission.

Several incidents that occurred in national parks include littering, restrooms left in disrepair, and even reports of trespassing and breaking and entry. In response to these incidents the "National Parks Conservation Association", or the NPCA, stated that parks now need entry fees to help gain money for the $11 billion repair cost to fix the national parks. However only 117 of the more than 400 national parks are said to collect fees, yet the NCPA did not yet state how much money will go to each park. In the end Many national parks continue to count losses thanks to the government shutdown, and we still do not know how long it will take to repair our once beautiful parks.

The furthest flyby mission NASA is attempting
On New Years eve of the oncoming year of 2019 NASA will be sending a spacecraft to a small ball of ice and rock called 2014 MU69. This mysterious object is more than 43 times farther from the sun than Earth. If NASA can accomplish this, it'll be the farthest object that humans have explored. The Space rock was discovered by the Hubble telescope when NASA's New Horizons probe was already on route toward its historic flyby of Pluto in 2015. This flyby event also can help us see the resources that made the planets in our solar system. However we can only wait to see what awaits us up in the stars.

However certain examples of censorship are accepted by the general public which include: offensive language, nudity, and acts of violence. But some things listed to be censored even include "Captain underpants", "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", and other shows or books directed to children. some studies show that "violent" children shows may cause children to act more violently such as Hitting dolls, Playing sports more aggressively, and popping balloons. But censorship can be found acceptable or unacceptable to different people and in the end it depends on how the person thinks.

To the naked eye black holes are invisible, however with new technological steps being made every day, scientist can find and even identify a black holes. Black holes are made when a large star dies. When the star dies it leaves behind a small but dense remnant core. That core can have more mass than three times the mass of our sun. We cannot however see a black hole due to the fact that it sucks in everything within it's gravitational pull. But this fact helps up identify where a black hole is. If a black hole were to travel through a cloud of space matter it would suck in the matter and seem like, well. . . a black hole. This can help scientist identify where a black hole is. Adding on, even though we cannot see black holes, scientist say there are ten million to a billion black holes in the Milky Way alone and possibly more. There are such things as "Super-Massive" black holes too. Scientist speculate that they are formed from chain reactions of star collision. This chain reaction occurs where stars are put in tight groups, and when a black hole shows up all the stars are put into the black hole, thus making it bigger.

How Human Eye's Color Vision works
The muscles of our pupils control how much light passes through and how much light enters out eyes. The clear cornea and lens bend the light and focus it onto the retina, a thin strip of tissue covered in millions of light-sensitive photoreceptors. These nerve cells, named for the way they are shaped (like rods and cones) are where light is converted into electrical signals then sent by the optic nerve to the visual centers of the brain. This is how we see things, but in order to see color we need these pyramid shaped cells. These pyramid shaped cells come in three types: blue, green and red. Each one is named after the colors of light they are able to detect. We need all three to see the many colors in our surroundings. Without even one of the colors many colors could not be seen by the person. One leading cause of color blindness is that a person can inherit color blindness from a past family member that is also color blind.

Since the myth takes place when people didn't have any means of flying transportation or even telescopes they could not tell that the "Sun Chariot" was really a star that is 92,955,828 miles away from the surface of the earth. Myths nowadays can be easily proven to be misinterpreted information that make animals into monsters. With myths now being converted into a modern prospective we can now see what myths were based on and how they were made.

As people know, natural disasters such as hurricanes or tropical storms can wreck havoc on cities and small towns on the coastlines of multiple countries across the world. What some may not know is that even in space, solar storms cause destruction on planet in and even out of reach of our solar system. some examples include Jupiter's great red spot. this "Red Spot" is a vortex that been swirling for at least 150 years. Another example is Saturn’s hexagon, a towering polar vortex that can contain the mass of four earths within it's six sides. A Boy's brain still works correctly after a large piece was removed
Even with at least one third of his brain removed, a boy can still participate in daily activities we do every day, This shows how adaptable our brains are. the boy started having seizures at the age of four. No treatments could stop his epilepsy, therefore surgeons removed a third of his brain’s right hemisphere just before the boy's seventh birthday. After the surgery researchers studied the boy and how he would be affected and react without his occipital lobe , which carries out visual processing, and most of his temporal lobe, which processes visual and auditory information. According to the research, three years following his surgery, the researchers could see which parts of his brain were able to recover. apparently the researchers found that his intellect, visual perception, and face and object recognition skills were all normal for his age. The only downside to the surgery is that the boy could not see to the left of his nose. The reason behind this is the boy had part of his brain's Left hemisphere removed which, consequently, caused him to only see out of his right eye. Adding on, researchers claim that the boy was only able to recover because he was still young and developing, as for older people, the same results seem unlikely.

Recently, scientist have discovered water on mars- again. Apparently this new body of water was discovered to be bellow the red planet's south pole. One interesting thing about this body of water on mars, is that it seems to be a more permanent body of water. New Photos of titan Shows what's underneath it's hazy atmosphere
Saturn's moon, Titan is surrounded by an orange haze or clouds so we can't clearly see what's going on below the clouds. Although the clouds may block out visible light, but the clouds lets some wavelengths of infrared light through. Using infrared detectors allowed a space craft named, Cassini, to pierce the veil and peer right down to the frigid moon’s surface, revealing its rolling dunes and oily methane seas. With Cassini ending it's voyage by crashing into Saturn, the photos taken by Cassini may be the best photos we can get for now.

An experiment with a mind controlled robotic arm showed that eight out of the fifteen participants were able to grab a bottle with the arm and move a ball around a tray. With varying results scientist produced the conclusion that people that can multitask can control the arm while doing something compared to the people struggling to control the arm due to the fact they can't multitask very well. With these results scientists concluded that the mind controlled grabber arm would be more efficient with factory workers or for people with jobs that require multitasking. With the mind controlled arm, it can make jobs easier when heavy loads need to be lifted or if someone needs a hand. With mind reading technology still being fully developed the arm still has room for improvement but for now it can still help people get the job done.

Gmos are usually the products of life forms that had their genes edited by experiments conducted by scientists. Even now certain plants that we eat or grow from seed packets are gene-edited.
