Tibetans and Uighurs Phones Hacked

‘‘Sophisticated Chinese hackers who used an iPhone security flaw to target ethnic minority Uighurs also went after Tibetans in exile” (Menn, 2019). Those hackers sent messages to many Tibetans. The article also states, ‘‘Eight of the 15 Tibetans known to have received the tainted links recalled opening them, the researchers said’’ (Menn, 2019). It’s sad to know that people can’t even show decency sometimes, especially since both Tibetans and Uighurs are being tortured every minute. Chinese hackers were trying to target Tibetans and Uighurs by using technology and as a result, got in contact with many Tibetans.

Years of Chinese Oppression of Tibet

Tibetans have been oppressed under Chinese rule since 1959. The leader of Tibet, Sikyong Penpa Tsering, seeks action from the U.S. because of cultural eradication. 900,000 kids ranging from ages 8-to 16 are being sent to warehouses to learn. They aren’t allowed to study their religion. They are also being subjected to political indoctrination. “We want to make it known to the world that what is happening in Xinjiang is one level, but what is happening in Tibet is another level — we are dying a slow death.” This is what Penpa told POLITICO, and it’s true. Tibetans are having our culture taken away from them and it’s far from okay. 8 Tibetans were arrested for teaching our language and more than 100 Tibetans were arrested for saving pictures of His Holiness, The 14 Dalai Lama, and messaging other Tibetans abroad. This goes without saying; the people involved in this are just evil. We can’t contact family and we can’t look at our leader or pray for them. The Chinese government's damage to our people is just an outrage. Our culture is being eradicated and if we don’t stop this now, who knows what will happen next.

Even though the Caribbean markets are mostly small and lacking raw materials and large minerals, the Caribbean's close proximity to the U.S. and its location for trade and well known banking businesses makes it a prime area for China to focus its attention. As a result of China's new interest in the Caribbean, the U.S. is attempting to counter China by extending its own financial incentives to the island nations.

Focused Efforts Needed to Halt China's Atrocities

China's Communist government must control information coming into the country and, especially, going out of the country. The effect of China's control has been horrific in inhuman ways such as harvesting organs, unlawful imprisonment of Uyghurs in concentration camps, forced erasure of the language and culture of ethnic people. If this new "Evil Empire" is to be confronted and changed, to prevent another NAZI type extermination, funding is necessary. Such a large effort would be needed, the size of the Manhattan Project, to put an end to China's Communist Party (CCP) which would have to involve publicizing the stories of those who have suffered. China's human rights atrocities must be exposed and a revolution of counter-counter-revolutionaries must rise up to attain freedom.

The Uyghur Genocide

Although China claims that its Uyghur population are the “happiest Muslims in the world”, opposing facts are slowly emerging. Nazi-type imagery of blindfolded captives led onto train cars and stories of genocide are some of the atrocities trickling out of China. Other methods of controlling the Uyghurs have been the usage of systematic forced-sterilization and birth-control programs. Since victims and investigative journalists have been decrying China's treatement of the Uyghur, China has increased its actions against the Uyghurs and other Turkic minorities by increased and technologically advanced surveillance and mass-internments into "facilities". Upon concluding the "reeducation" at such facilities, many are foced into slave labor.

Training for the Take over of Taiwan

Every time a US official visits Taiwan, China immediately schedules military, especially Air Force, exercises closer and closer to the island. Resulting from the US official Alex Azar's trip to Taiwan, China sent 19 aircraft which flew over the boaundary which separates China from Taiwan. To top it off, the Chinese newspaper, the Global Times, said in an editorial that every time a U.S. official comes to Taiwan, the aircraft should go closer to Taiwan and if more important U.S. officials come, the aircraft should fly over Taiwan. This, in effect, would be tanatmount to declaring war. It is clear that China views Taiwan as part of its territory, and it's flexing its muscles to left those views be known.

Forced Population Control

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is perpetrating a sustained campaign of forced sterilization, forced abortion, and involuntary implantation of birth control. Recent, documented evidence of these practices in Xinjiang is consistent with decades of CCP practices that demonstrate an utter disregard for the sanctity of human life and basic human dignity. We call on the Chinese Communist Party to immediately end these horrific practices and ask all nations to join the United States in demanding an end to these dehumanizing abuses.
